Our history

LYCRO was established in 1970. Starting out with providing chrome plating of sanitary plastic parts, and operating as a workshop for other companies owned by Lyng Gruppen. Later the company expanded into production of injection molded plastic parts, producing molds for plastic injection molding and design and manufacturing of rotation welding machines.

LYCRO is owned by LYCRO Holding.

LYCRO Holding buys LYCRO AS from JEBO Industrier AS.

LYCRO takes over the Seat4You brand, and moulds.

Arnt Terje Aksens took over as Managing Director of LYCRO

LYCRO employs annually more than 200 tonnes of recycled materials in its plastic production
LYCRO celebrates 40 years anniversary

The workshop is carved out from LYCRO through a management buy-out, with LYCRO retaining a 10% stake in the newly established LYCRO Maskinering AS

2008
LYCRO becomes ISO 9001-2000 certified

2007
LYCRO starts production of molds at its own factory in Dongguan, China
Ove Høiseth took over position as Managing Director of LYCRO
The property and factory building is sold to Botten Industrier AS (today JEBO Eiendom Industri og Logistikk AS)

LYCRO becomes ISO 14001 certified

LYCRO starts using 3D design –and drawing tools (CAD)
JEBO Industrier AS acquires the remaining 40% equity stake in LYCRO and becomes 100% owner

1994
JEBO Industrier AS acquires a 60% equity stake in LYCRO

Triangle is carved out of LYCRO and named LYNG TRIANGEL AS

LYCRO increasing focus on technical plastics

LYCRO acquires Lyng Verksteder AS and moves production of Triangel quick coupling to LYCRO’s factory
LYCRO expands factory building by increasing storage capacity and new office space

1986
LYCRO increases focus on larger plastic injection molding machines by purchasing several new machines

1980
Factory building is expanded and it is established as separate department for plastic injection molding

1979
Lyng Gruppen AS acquires a 48% equity stake in LYCRO and becomes a 90% owner of LYCRO

LYCRO AS is established, with Lyng Gruppen AS owning 42% of the Company
